47045-ZAR-708-G06-H-1 The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria The Democratic Republic of the Congo is classified among countries suffering from a widespread AIDS epidemic. The program supported by this grant aims to implement a package of services for prevention, care and treatment in 43 selected health zones to contribute to the reduction of sickness, death and negative impact related to HIV and AIDS. The program plans to provide antiretroviral treatment for eligible people living with HIV, prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV; provide testing and counseling services and improve the safety of the blood supply.
