47045-TUN-607-G01-H-2 The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Tunisia has a low HIV prevalence of 0.1 percent among the adult population. The program supported by this grant aims to reduce sexually transmitted infection and HIV transmission among groups with high risk behavior; strengthen the prevention of sexually transmitted infections and HIV and AIDS preventive measures among vulnerable groups; improve the quality of life for people living with HIV and their families through better access to adequate and complete care; and implement a national monitoring and evaluation system related to sexually transmitted infections and HIV and AIDS. The program targets people living with HIV and their families; young people in school and out of school; most at-risk populations, such as men who have sex with men, prisoners, commercial sex workers and their clients and injecting drug users; pregnant women; and frequently mobile groups.
