P. falciparum elimination achieved in 2023 for Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam will be consolidated with the prevention of re-establishment, and PF elimination will be achieved in Thailand by 2025 and Myanmar by 2026.. The objectives of this program are: Early detect, effectively and safely treat 100% of cases,. Provide effective personal protection to at least 90% of the high risk population. Increase the use of accelerator strategies to intensify prevention, case detection, and response amongst at-risk populations. Improve the malaria epidemiological surveillance system and ensure sufficient capacity for malaria epidemic response. Support subnational elimination and prevent the re-establishment of indigenous transmission of P. falciparum/all species malaria where transmission has been interrupted.. Strengthen the enabling environment by building sustainable HR, program and financial management capacity, coordination and alignment of partners and greater empowerment at the district level. Intensify inter-country and regional collaboration is essential for joint operational action, exchange of information about lessons learnt, and for preparing the prevention of re-introduction phase in the context of population movement across borders.
