General terms and conditions which apply to Global Fund grants. 47045-MWP-708-G06-H-2 The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria One of the lessons learned from the program supported by the Round 2 Multicountry Western Pacific grant was the need to address human capacity in low-resource countries with competing health priorities. The program supported by this Round 7 grant focuses on key capacity challenges faced by the 11 participating small island countries in addressing HIV, The countries supported by this regional grant are: Cook Islands, Marshall Islands, Micronesia (Federated States), Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu. The Solomon Islands receives only antiretroviral (ARV) treatment under the program. The overall goal of the program is to reduce the spread and impact of HIV while embracing people living with HIV. Funded activities include strengthening national-level human resources dedicated to HIV and other sexually transmitted infections; advocacy for national-level legal reforms and the provision of legal advice to decision-makers; provision of test kits and drugs for sexually transmitted infections, including ARVs; campaigns aimed at increasing the availability of free condoms to key populations in all participating countries, as well as condom social marketing initiatives; and counselor training at the national level.
