<narrative xml:lang="en">To reduce new HIV infection by 70% and ensure at least 80% of the adults leaving with HIV and at least 50 % of the children benefit from HIV services by 2018 - Mauritania (01-Jul-2016-30-Jun-2019)</narrative> Mauritania, HIV, National Executive Secretariat for the Fight Against AIDS of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania (SENLS Mauritania)This program has the following goals: To ensure that at least 80% of adults PLHIV and 50% of children PLHIV have received the global HIV treatment by 2018. To reduce new infections by 70% by 2018. The objectives of this program are: By 2018, 80 percent of people living with HIV will know their serological status. By 2018, at least 40 percent of young people aged 15 to 24 years will be adopting lower risk behavior with regard to STIs and HIV. By 2018, at least 80 percent of adults living with HIV and 50 percent of children living with HIV receive antiretroviral therapy. By 2018, at least 80 percent of each of the populations with the highest risk exposure who benefit from the prevention programs will be adopting lower risk behavior with regard to HIV infection (sex workers, men who have sex with men). By 2018, at least 80 percent of each of the vulnerable populations (prison populations, mobile populations, miners) who benefit from the prevention programs will be adopting lower risk behavior with regard to HIV infection. By 2018, at least 80 percent of the key and vulnerable populations [1]who benefit from prevention programs will know their serological status. By 2018, at least 90 percent of pregnant women and newborns will be receiving suitable services for the prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) (screening, prophylaxis, early diagnosis, treatment, feeding infants)
