General terms and conditions which apply to Global Fund grants. 47045-MLW-708-G06-T-3 The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria The program supported by this grant aims to reduce the burden of ill health due to TB in Malawi by pursuing high-quality DOTS expansion and enhancement; addressing infection control, MDR-TB and TB/HIV co-infection; engaging all care providers; and enabling and promoting operational research. Grant funds will be used to mobilize communities to seek treatment; establish sputum collection centers in communities; provide high-burden laboratories in district hospitals with fluorescent microscopes; conduct a TB prevalence survey and an MDR-TB survey; and establish an electronic TB register in existing TB registration sites. The program targets the general population, civil society, people living with HIV and AIDS; and TB patients and former TB patients.
