General terms and conditions which apply to Global Fund grants. 47045-MAW-607-G01-H-2 The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria A baseline study carried out by UNAIDS shows that HIV and AIDS prevalence rates at each of the eight borders of the corridor were at least double that of the corresponding country figures. The program supported by this grant intends to target populations that are in constant movement by providing additional HIV and AIDS services for people living with and affected by the disease at the eight borders and delineated hot spots. Grant funds will be used to implement regional information, education and communication and behavior change communication strategies; conduct regional social marketing of male and female condoms; promote syndromatic management of sexually transmitted infections; and provide voluntary counseling and testing and prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV services. The program targets long distance drivers, sex workers and their clients, uniform personnel working at the borders, people living with HIV, youth, traders, hawkers, HIV positive women and women of child-bearing age, children born to HIV positive mothers and orphans.
