Haiti, Malaria, Population Services International (PSI HQ)This program has the following goals: To enable malaria to be completely eliminated from Haiti by 2022, so that the only diagnosed cases will be introduced cases. The objectives of this program are: Objective 1: Confirm all suspected malaria cases by microscopy or RDT. Objective 2: Correctly treat 100 percent of positive cases diagnosed by microscopy or RDT according to the national protocol. Objective 3: Raise awareness among 80 percent of populations in at-risk areas about malaria transmission methods, the use of individual protection measures and participation in community-based activities to control malaria. Objective 4: Implement an effective system of passive and active surveillance and epidemiological data about malaria in Haiti to enable sound decision-making. Objective 5: Identify and appropriately treat all malaria outbreak areas (100 percent). Objective 6: Implement an effective monitoring and evaluation system to make available epidemiological data and enable a selection of effective, relevant and targeted interventions. Objective 7: Put in place an effective prediction, early warning and response system for epidemics. Objective 8: Introduce appropriate changes to the national health system relevant to the administrative, technological and financial aspects of malaria elimination in Haiti. Objective 9: Define and set up an administrative and legal framework for the NMCP with a view to eliminating malaria in Haiti
