47045-CPV-M-CCSSIDA-1 The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria <narrative xml:lang="en">Malaria Pre-Elimination program in Cabo Verde - Cabo Verde (01-Jul-2015-31-Dec-2017)</narrative> Cabo Verde, Malaria, Coordination Committee of the Fight against AIDS of Cabo Verde (CCS-SIDA)This program has the following goals: Maintain the incidence of malaria within one indigenous case per 1000 inhabitants per year across the country by the end of 2017 and to contribute to the consolidation of the pre-elimination process.. The objectives of this program are: Increase the human resources and technical and logistical capacities of the epidemiological surveillance system for malaria elimination, by 2017. Increase the NMCP’s institutional, technical and managerial capacities at all levels to implement malaria elimination activities, by 2017. Increase the population’s knowledge of how to prevent and manage malaria, by 2017. Protect 100 percent of the at-risk population in the malaria transmission areas through vector control until 2017.
