Half the population is at risk of infection. The program supported by this grant aims to scale up the mass campaign to provide universal coverage with long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs) to the remaining eight uncovered provinces to protect the entire Burundian population. In addition, the program will renew the mass LLIN campaign to all 17 provinces in 2013. The expected outcomes by 2015 are 100 percent household coverage and at least 80 percent LLIN use among the general population.
