The goal of the NSP is to halt new HIV, STI & Hepatitis infections and improve the health and quality of life for people living with and affected by HIV, STIs, and Hepatitis in Afghanistan by 2026.. To reduce TB deaths by 75% by the end of 2026 compared to 2015. To decrease the incidence rate by 20% by 2026 (to reach a 10/100,000 by 2035) in order to be aligned with the End TB Strategy. To improve the quality of services and increase effectiveness of HTM and Strengthen the Health Systems.. The objectives of this program are: To reduce the number of category 1 and cat 2 districts by at least 50% in 2026. It means, as a result, that a total of 42 districts are expected to be classified in cat 1 and 2 in 2026. It equally means as a result that the malaria burden in those 84 districts will be reduced by approx. 50% in 2026 against baseline data from 2019 to 2021. To interrupt indigenous transmission of malaria by 2026 in 20% of the 237 districts categorized in cat 3. It means interrupting local transmission in at least 47 cat 3 districts by 2026. To prevent the re-establishment of local malaria transmission in cat 4 districts and communities where the disease has been eliminated during the last 3 years. It means keeping the 77 districts classified cat 4 free of local malaria transmission by 2026. To enhance and access of a continuum of high quality essential services for HIV, STIs and Hepatitis to maintain prevalence of HIV below 5% among key populations, less than 0.1% among general population and reduce the incidence of Hepatitis B & C by 60%. To enhance strategic information systems for HIV, STI and hepatitis for informed policy and decision making and evidenced-based response. To enhance Policy environment and ANPASH responsiveness for continuum of high quality essential services support for HIV, STIs and Hepatitis. To increase the case notification of all TB cases by 8% every year. To detect and treat at least 30% of the estimated DR-TB cases by 2026.
